MPCB has started issuing notices to units operating in and around Mumbai Metropolitan Region as the units have not submitted the Self Audit Report.
The self-audit report is mandatory as per the step taken by MPCB which is to comply with Honorable High Court order passed dated 10th November 2023 and 18th March 2024 for mitigating the air pollution levels in and around Mumbai area with respect to SUO MOTO Public Interest Litigation No:3 of 2023. Honorable High Court has directed MPCB to check the compliance of units for mitigating the Air Pollution Levels in the MMR Area.
A sample template for Self-Audit Report is attached herewith. Companies and units are supposed to comply and complete the Self Audit Report and submit to MPCB Offices.
